And it’s the ~epitome~ of French-girl chic

At the age of 16, Les Filles en Rouje founder Jeanne Damas signed with IMG Models, gaining valuable insight into the fashion industry. And she hasn’t looked back. ‘Clients booked me for my personal style, more than just the way I looked,’ she tells me. And so Damas was granted a golden ticket to attend fashion shows and events. ‘From there, the press [in France] spoke a lot about my style, which led me to design several capsule collections,’ she adds.

‘But what’s this got to do with beauty?’ I hear you ask. Well, after launching her own clothing brand, Rouje, back in 2016, the fashion head soon shifted focus, bringing her revered personal style to her first make-up product: the Signature Lip Palette.

It’s Damas’s trademark red lip that completes her fashion and beauty look, and it’s one that continues to inspire others. The look is what makes Rouje what it is; the French word for red is rouge, but as Damas explains, ‘Replacing the “g” with my initial “j” adds a personal twist.’
