Fronting the brands they founded has given firm friends Chrissie and Trinny a desire to support other female entrepreneurs as they launch their own businesses

Chrissie Rucker OBE founded The White Company in 1994, with a mission to produce impeccably stylish and quality products in every colour as long as it was white. Trinny Woodall launched her beauty brand Trinny London from her kitchen table in 2017, with the goal to give everyone the tools to be their best. Chrissie mentored Trinny at the start of her business, and they are fellow supporters of The Prince’s Trust.

T From a Trinny London perspective, we want women to feel good about themselves before deciding how they want to present themselves to the world. There is an intimacy in that, in the same way that I slip into The White Company sheets in my own home and it’s the feeling I want to have for myself but it will give me a good night’s sleep. The more you highlight that intimacy, the more emotive you are as a brand.

C It’s the small moments and the little details that give meaning to our lives. Crisp, pristine white bed linen is about more than just sheets. It’s the feeling of getting into them at the end of a long day, or when you open your eyes and slowly stretch out in the morning – amoment just for you. It’s the same with picking out the perfect lipstick or blush. It’s not just make-up, it’s something that builds y
