Across the ridge, views north over Abernethy, Scotland’s largest Caledonian Pine forest, accompany the ridge before descending through conifer and pine to Loch Morlich and around its shoreline.

From Allt Ban car park walk upstream, taking first L path which weaves through forest leading to a gravel track. Turn R going NE on gravel track, shortly crossing small footbridge, keeping L, eventually passing Green Lochan. (Perfect place for a swim or fairy spotting!) The track leaves the pine forest, keeping on L path, as it ascends to Ryvoan Bothy.
