star letter Free Kit Fun...

Hello CrossStitcher team, I would like to show you what I did with the summer SAL from 2020. Now that I am retired I have time to make all the free gifts. As you see I left out the (English) words and instead added more beads and a bird near the cocktail. I also continuing to work on my Winter elf fairy from Lanarte, but because that is only over one thread, so I am glad to have enough free gifts in stock to relax my eyes sometimes.

So looking forward to new mags and new ideas! Kind regards,

Anja Koote, Rotterdam, Holland

It’s always a pleasure to see how readers customise our projects, and you’ve done such a good job here! You are right that our cover kit projects make the perfect quick stitch to work on when taking a break from larger projects.

Note to Dad

Dear CrossStitcher, I used the materials from the free kit that came with the June magazine to make my dad a birthday card. It’s my own design! Thank you. Best wishes, Marja Flipse, The Hague

Made a Buzz!

I made the Queen bee card from issue 387 and gave it my own twist on the honeycomb with half stitches and a wish. Kind regards from,

If I’m working on black or navy aida or evenweave, I find using a magnifier really helpful. I just use one that clips onto my hoop and that, together with good lighting, makes everything so much clearer.

Hello, I've only been able to make one so far but I really love the tin bunnies from issue 396! I’m going to let my little ones name them! Yours,
