Original Idea

Dear Martin and Susan, as soon as I saw the Beachcomber collection, in the August 2022 issue, I knew I had to stitch it. The design was so colourful, and original, set into the printer’s tray. Once complete, it took me a while to gain some confidence, cutting the fabric into the different sizes. I’m so pleased with it though, and wanted to share it with you and fellow readers.

Thanks so much for producing a wonderful magazine, full of original designs and ideas. Your love for the magazine comes across the pages. My CrossStitcher subscription got me through lockdown!

So looking forward to the festive designs appearing in future issues of CrossStitcher! Us crafters can't plan early enough… Best wishes, Rosaline Smith, North Hykeham

The printer’s tray projects we’ve featured in CrossStitcher are amongst our favourites – it’s a simple idea but looks so impressive once complete – and you’ve finished yours off perfectly, Rosaline. Can’t wait to see what you create for Christmas!

Final Finish

I know it’s not a recent CrossStitcher kit, but I have finally completed the Stitcher’s Tool Tidy. We have a craft group at the church and nattering sometimes takes first place over stitching!

Bunny Brilliant

Dear CrossStitcher, thank you for the inspiration and ideas I found in your magazine every month! These small rabbits in the box by Durene Jones (issue 396) were too cute to resist.

I stitched them for my friend’s children, and hope they will have much joy while playing. Kind regards, your permanent reader from issue 203,

Szvetlana Lengyel, Hungary

READER TIP

Keep needles sharp for backstitch"

I’ve found it’s really worth investing in new, sharp needles for when I work backstitched areas on aida, as they are able to pierce the fabric much more easily.

Out of This World

Hi, I just wanted to share with you my recently finished space decorations from issue 390. I cross stitched the decorations, my husband painted the frame and my daughter put it all together. Here is a photo of my grandson showing off our finished family project.
