LANDMARKS OF GREAT BRITAIN & IRELAND

Welcome to our 2023 Stitch-A-Long! Fiona Crouch has created an amazing ‘Landmarks of Great Britain and Ireland’ SAL – and we have unveiled four famous, and also some not so famous landmarks each issue, over the last nine issues. This month we give you your final four landmarks... We hope you have enjoyed stitching your Landmark SAL, which can either be framed or made into a hanging picture by turning in the outer edges, adding tabs to the top and hanging from a pole.

NEXT ISSUE...

We will be starting our new Mandala meets Mindfulness SAL. An explosion of colour, it’s packed with some great sayings to motivate and inspire!

In this issue we are giving you: Whitby Abbey, York Minster, Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) and London Zoo.

The maximum size for each landmark is 30 x 30 stitches, with the name displayed underneath. We have left six aida squares between each landmark left and right, and three aida squares between the rows, when the design is at maximum height, and there is a double-height place name.

If you are stitching the complete sampler, the sun at the top of the Angel of the North design should be 11.5cm (4½in) down and 9cm (3½in) in from the left side of the fabric. The final row of landmarks in this issue should be stitched so that the top of Whitby Abby is three squares below the Titanic Museum.
