The inspiration
Brooklyn-based studio Workstead’s elegant conversion of a Beaux-Arts building in Prospect Park is a masterclass in how to utilise pastel yellow in an urbane, sophisticated way. There’s a relaxed luxury and enveloping warmth to the Workstead team’s chosen palette and materials – richly veined marble, burl wood, warm greys and creams – which serves to ground the sunny tones used throughout.
