It’s a boom time for lovers of luxury Italian design, with the doors opening on two newly renovated London showrooms, and one much-loved venue celebrating a landmark anniversary

You wait all year for an update to a luxurydesign destination, and then two come along at once. In a flurry of shiny glass fronts, freshly painted walls and sprucedup signage, these Italian giants have given their London outposts extensive facelifts.

Officine Gullo, the high-end brand behind the Beckhams’ enviable London kitchen, has renovated its flagship on the Fulham Road by adding a new basement and adjoining lounge area where customers can peruse different material options (1). It’s part of the company’s commitment to becoming ‘a meeting point for individuals, architects, interior designers and industry professionals to exchange ideas’. Although Officine Gullo updates the store by swapping in a new kitchen design every year (and introduces fresh ranges every six months) this is its first refresh since opening in September 2022.
