Since 2014, Peter Philips has held the role of creative and image director for Christian Dior Makeup. His earliest make-up memories include, ‘old movies, admiring screen goddesses, the power of light and shadow, clowns at the circus, mum’s eye make-up, the Eurovision Song Contest and magazines’. His first big shoot came during a men’s fashion story shot by Willy Vanderperre and styled by Olivier Rizzo in the mid Nineties. ‘I painted a Mickey Mouse on a boy’s face and that look left an impression. The shoot gave us lots of exposure and recognition,’ he says. In this issue, Peter created make-up looks for the Dior beauty feature.
