Forever controversial, double denim got the catwalk treatment this season – even at the most rarefied of brands. Look to Chanel for an upscale take on the idea. In fact, jeans, matching shirt and matching bag could raise things to a whole new level: triple denim.

4 Beyond the blue: Paolina Russo

The Copenhagen brand launched denim for the first time this season – and stood out immediately, thanks to the colour and stencilled patterns on skater shorts, jeans and jackets. Think a new, beach-ready take on statement denim.
