Our summery cover comes from Carole Dawber an artist who has lived life in full colour, from Liverpool Art College to her recent kaleidoscopic textile art. Eppie Thompson of thefabledthread also lives life among bright hues, whether in her home or studio, where she creates her fantastic range of fable-inspired kits – and makes the numbers add up. If you venture to the Festival of Quilts you’ll come across the incredible ‘sewn stone’ of @denise.labadie.3, an American artist who is beguiled by the UK’s ancient stones. We also chat to Alice Kettle Textile Artist who has co-curated a cutting-edge exhibition at the Arnolfini, while at Kettle’s Yard, Palestinian embroidery tells a tale of political strife in everyday terms.
