PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT TIMEPIECE WITH A WOLF WATCH SAFE

In June, at Florence’s Pitti Uomo, an event at which clothing and accessory brands from across the world showcase their upcoming wares at stands of varying ostentation, Wolf had chartered a subtly commanding corner. The marque’s main bread and butter of precise, oscillating watch winders filled much of it, with a small section reserved for the leathers and accessories (which are very nice and classic, by the way), but along the far wall sat a series of silent, looming sentry boxes arranged in ascending order of size. These were watch safes and, upon closer inspection, would be very difficult to get into.

And that’s the point. In a world where commodities can trump cash in the criminal market, watches are desperate for a safe haven, and Wolf can make you one. They’re fireproof, shockproof and full of patented innovation, and Wolf is the only watchwinder brand to give an exact count of turns per day. The marque’s most goliath-like safe, the Atlas, has 20 watch winders (keeping automatic watches moving maintains them), and all are monitored via a smartphone app.

But the Atlas package is slightly off-thepeg, if you will. Wolf can, and does, create bespoke safes that pander not just to the heart’s anxieties, but its desires, too. “We’ve designed everything from bespoke safes as part of walk-in wardrobes to safes embroidered with the client’s favourite football team or their family crest,” says Chloe Spencer, Wolf’s sales director. “But, at
