What can I do for DAD?

Q When my amazing dad passed away, it was largely down to me to organise his funeral.I wanted it to be perfect and a celebration of the great man he was. But on the day, the celebrant didn’t turn up. Luckily, the celebrant from the service before was able to step in. But it was an impersonal service and not at all what I had planned. I was devastated and still feel I let Dad down. How can I make it up to him now?

Emily, 38, Great Yarmouth

A

Please don’t feel so disappointed about what happened at the funeral. Your father would have been connected to your feelings that day more than any words from any celebrant. Our loved ones on the other side feel our intentions, so rest assured he would have known exactly what you had planned — from your heart, to his. I believe that any time you remember him now and it brings a smile to your face or a sense of gratitude or respect, he is filled with absolute joy. This is all the payback he needs.

Does she have a MESSAGE?

QBefore I was born, my mum gave birth to a stillborn baby girl. I have a younger brother but I have always longed for a sister.

Recently, a beautiful girl with curly auburn hair keeps appearing to me in my dreams. She seems sad and when she opens her mouth to speak, I wake up.

I would look at it symbolically. A child needs taking care of, she attempts to speak but her words are not heard, then suddenly ‘you’ are awake? Think carefully about these three elements, apply them to your life right now and ask yourself this question: Is there some area in which you are not being heard?

Could this DREAM have a meaning?

QOn holiday in Ireland recently, neither me nor my husband could sleep.

Eventually, we both had one decent night’s kip and woke up at the same time.

Imagine our surprise when we found we’d both been dreaming of a running tap!

What on earth does this mean? Could our hotel have been haunted? It did feel rather creepy and we were relieved to leave.

Sandra, 60, Kerry

AIreland is a mystical place with lots of history and grand characters associated with old buildings. But I honestly don’t believe you were part of any haunting. Instead, there are many other things this dream could point to. When sleep has been disturbed several times, it leaves the mind on high alert, looking and listening for unfamilia
