After purchasing a painting, strange things started happening around the house…

Coastal Reflections by Sven Berlin

Clicking open Facebook Marketplace, I once again found myself staring at the painting I’d stumbled across a few days before. I couldn’t get it out of my mind, and something kept drawing me back to it.

It was named Coastal Reflections, painted by the bohemian artist Sven Berlin in 1971.

The intensity of the colours were so powerful that I knew I had to have it.

At £200, it was a bargain for a piece of original art, but at 8x2ft, I imagined my husband Steve saying it was far too big.

Tentatively, I asked Steve for his opinion.

‘It’s definitely got something,’ he agreed. Delighted, I purchased it from the dealer, who lived in the next village over from us in Newton Abbot, Devon.

When it arrived, Steve hung it on our upstairs landing.

Almost instantly, the house had a different feeling to it, and every time I passed the painting, I sensed something from it.

That week, I felt more creative in my writing, my short stories becoming more daring and expressive.

It affected me in a way I’d never experienced before.

One day, I was writing in my office, while Steve was reading in the living room below.

Later, he asked me: ‘Why were you dancing earlier?’

‘Dancing?’ I asked, confused. ‘I was sitting down, writing all day.’

It was strange, but we put it to the back of our minds, until other abnormal things started happening.

One time, Steve asked why I’d been calling his name so much, when I hadn’t done so at all. Then, there were instances of white flashes of light outside and energies darting about the house. Another time, I felt a presence besi
