The return of the iconic Bluefin Tuna to UK waters, with multiple sightings of shoals of the fish in full feeding frenzy, is acknowledged in the start of a new tagging programme featured in this edition. Whilst the Scottish Creel Fishermen’s Federation makes an impassioned argument for an increase in static gear only areas in inshore waters, we also feature a move to start potting for prawns in Cumbria, traditionally a trawl fishery, and the success of the expanding Crawfish industry in Cornwall.
