Triple-Tested recipes
Fit fora King & Queen
We asked you to create a dish to celebrate the Coronation and you didn’t disappoint! From a beautifully twisted sweet bread to tender salmon scones and an innovative tortilla, here are our winning reader recipes…
THE COMPETITION
In our New Year issue, we asked you to submit original recipes that you deemed perfect for a Coronation celebration – with a chance to win a sublime KitchenAid Design Series 4.7L Blossom Artisan Mixer. As the entries flooded in and the closing date came, we selected our shortlist, which was by no means easy – the creativity on offer (both in savoury and sweet dishes) was incredible. We finally settled on five dishes we felt worthy of Triple-Testing, checking method, consistency, timings and serving sizes – not to mention flavour! Happily, all five recipes passed our rigorous tests and made it through to the final judging day, which was held in the state-of-the-art Good Housekeeping kitchens in London with guest judge chef Monica Galetti, Good Housekeeping editor-in-chief Gaby Huddart and cookery director Meike Beck. We were unanimous in deciding on our final three, and then crowning the overall winner. We hope you enjoy making these fabulous reader recipes for the Coronation as much as we enjoyed tasting them!
