ICYMI, bohemian style is back – with Sienna Miller’s new collection for M&S leading the charge

Ombré slip dress, £65, and leather sandals, £49.50

IF YOU’VE EVER dreamt of rifling through Miller’s wardrobe, you’re finally in luck. Her new collection for M&S has all the hallmarks of her signature luxe-boho, effortless style, with some pieces directly inspired by her outfits worn over the years.

‘I don’t think my style has changed at all. There is always a sensibility I’ve been drawn to – easy to wear, everything that can mix and match,’ she says. For the collection that means ombré-dyed slips (inspired by a dress she wore in 2009), excellent denim, paisley print, Victoriana blouses and a ruffled dress that could just be the dress of the summer. She can’t pick a favourite, but highlights the cowboy mules with Cuban heel (‘You can wear them with everything and I like things that can be versatile’) and the print sarong – inspired by a scarf gifted by her dad – which she’s planning to take on holidays to wear as a skirt, top or over a bikini. So Sienna.

M&S and Miller are obvious bedfellows: the former a bastion of our high street; the latter a beloved British actor and style pin-up, as reg ularly papped in Mango and Sézane as she is Chloé and Schiaparelli. ‘I wear a lot of high street because I’m fickle and impatient – I get bored quickly and you can find amazing pieces. I have an 11-yearold so I’m always in Urban Outfitters these days,’ she laughs. ‘I like to buy expensive knitwear and designer shoes. And for work I get to wear glamorous things, but for day-to -day there’s no point spending a lot of money when you can get something beautifully made on the high street.’

The coupling-up chimes perfectly with the return of boho, largely thanks to February’s ’70s-inspired Chloé show. ‘We designed [the collection] a year ago; way before this resurgence of clothes that I like to wear. It’s worked out well… as this is what I’d have done irrespective of that,’ says Miller. ‘Everyone looks great in boho – I just can’t believe it’s now considered vintage – that makes me feel old.’
