Meghan’s refusing to budge as the Prince longs for city living

Hollywood has Meghan’s heart…
…while Hazza is hankering for the Big Apple

After a recent trip to the Big Apple, Prince Harry’s been left with a taste for city living – and a source tells heat he’s urging Meghan to consider a move there. Harry, 39, and Meghan, 42, were out and about exploring New York last week, attending the World Mental Health Day Festival to host a panel discussion for their charity the Archewell Foundation. The trip also marked their first joint appearance in New York since their controversial “near catastrophic car chase” earlier this year.

And after spending some time in the city that never sleeps, we’re told that the Prince has NYC on his mind. “Harry really wants them to move. He feels so much more at home there – the fast pace, the culture, the social scene. The truth is he desperately misses London, and being in the city helps. Plus, he could easily go home for a long weekend if they lived in New York.”

But while the idea of an eight-hour flight to London has Harry sold, we’re told NYC isn’t in the Duchess’ Hollywood plans – and she isn’t afraid of making her feelings known. “It’s not as though Meghan doesn’t support him seeing family and friends whenever he wants, but the argument that being in New York will save him time commuting is unconvincing,” says our source. “A few more hours on the plane in first class isn’t that big of a deal, and it’s certainly not worth making them move across the country for. It would make zero sense to move, and she’s frustrated that Harry won’t let this go.”

Since stepping back as working royals and relocating to America in 2020, the Sussexes have set up their life in Montecito. With their sprawling mansion – rumoured to cost $14m – and idyllic beaches on their doorstep, Harry was said to have settled in perfectly, with a local reporter revealing the royal had “done wonders” for the local Californian polo club. However, it was revealed last month that the couple were busy house-hunting in Malibu, scouting out a $18m estate as a potential home for them and their children, Archie, four, and Lilibet, two. A move to the celeb hotspot – which is home to A-listers such as Kris Jenner and Lady Gaga – would be the ideal place for the pair to carry on their mountain hikes, moving them closer to Hollywood for business but far enough away for added privacy.

But we’re told Harry isn’t vibing with the laid-back Cali lifestyle any more and his unexpected U-turn has left Meghan baffled. “Harry was all gung-ho for the Malibu move a few months ago,” our source says. “Yes, it was Megh
