While we’ve long known that cancer does not discriminate, news that King Charles is currently undergoing treatment for the disease came as asobering reminder to us all last week. And it seemingly hit Prince Harry hard, as he immediately made aflying visit to see his father.

Although brief, his impromptu homecoming pointed to asea change for the prince, who was last seen publicly with his family at the King’s Coronation in May –his brief visit to the UK for the WellChild Awards in September was reportedly made without any family contact. She’s since returned to her and Prince William’s Adelaide Cottage residence in Windsor, and is recuperating there, with their three children. She will resume her royal duties after Easter.

Charles, meanwhile, was also out of action, undergoing asurgery for an enlarged prostate, which is when his cancer was picked up, with the Palace calling i
