Take a hike

The beaches may be next level, but to really understand the beauty of the country, you need to explore the lush nature inland. Visit the Wingfield Estate to take a hike through St Kitts’ rainforest. You can choose between a four-hour tour, or a more sedate one-hour trail. The Estate is also home to the oldest rum distillery in the Caribbean and is the starting point to the island’s Rum Master tour, which is held between the Old Road Rum distillery and the relaxed beach bar Spice Mill. Don’t drink it all at once.

It’s not Arthur’s, it’s ours

If you ask any local where their favourite place to eat on St Kitts is, they’re guaranteed to say Arthur’s in Dieppe Bay. The beachside restaurant’s Fisherman’s Pasta is a firm favourite, packed with plenty of fresh seafood.

Get early, so you can enjoy the stunning sunset views over the exact point where the Caribbean and Atlantic meet. Another popular spot is Marshall’s at Calypso Bay Resort, which has been open for almost 30 years and offers a delicious menu of meat and seafood dishes, along with tasty cocktails.

If you’re into stunning views with a backstory, then take atrip up the New River Estate on Nevis. Poppy Delevingne filmed the movie Assailant there in 2021, and ended up falling in love with the island. “I’m not going to want to leave by the end of this,” she posted when filming wrapped.
