The Duchess is having a makeover – and needs Harry to get on board
With Brand Sussex on the rebound, Meghan Markle’s pulling out all the stops to make sure their image overhaul is successful. But with Harry’s head elsewhere, we’re told she’s urging her husband to play his part.
Meghan,42,andHarry, 39, have big dreams to make 2024 the year of the Sussexes – and the Duchess has already proven she’s not playing around when it comes to reviving her career. The couple were recently spotted rubbing shoulders with ParamountCEO Brian Robbins while attending the One Love premiere in Jamaica. Weeks later, Meghan was pictured enjoying a one-to-one lunch with the executive producer of Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo production company.
And after reportedly hiring Adele’s stylist Jamie Mizrahi for the next stage of her plan, our source says Meghan’s ready to take back her seat as one of Hollywood’s elite. We’re told, “Meghan has put in a ton of work, and it’s all finally starting to pay off. The studios are showing a lot of interest, and she’s landed this exciting new podcast deal. She’s also now hired a fancy new stylist to help her with a new look.”
It also seems Meghan is willing to put her money where her mouth is, and could be prepared to spend as much as seven figures on her new look. A source previously said, “Meghan bought herself a whole new designer wardrobe worth thousands of dollars. She’s also gotten very anxious of freeloading, so she’s stopped accepting any sort of freebies.”
But while Meghan’s working hard on the couple’s public image – with rumours she’s searching for a UK-based PR to help with their popularity problem here – Prince Harry’s skipping shifts.
The source says, “Meghan’s Hollywood dreams are finally coming true, but Harry just isn’t playing his part. It’s like he’s walking around with a chip on his shoulder, worrying all the time about his legal problems. Of course, there’s so much going on with his family and he’s still feeling very homesick, but it’s not doing their brand any favours.
