During lockdown, I became a proper fan of This Morning. It felt like a comforting, relaxed place to hang out with friends and keep abreast of how we were all doing. Despite the show’s difficulties in the years since, I still think it’s such an admirably put-together programme, which manages its inevitable tonal shifts expertly.

One minute, they’re trying out mindboggling sex toys, the next someone is tearfully explaining how they’ve been the victim of an evil scam. I also bow to no one in my admiration for the presenting dream team of Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.
