The old adage might say “age before beauty”, but Victoria Beckham’s not about to forfeit one for the other.

According to insiders, the fashion designer isn’t letting her upcoming 50th birthday make her feel old –instead, she’s upping her fitness and beauty regime in an effort to stave off the ageing process. But drinking from the fountain of youth doesn’t come cheap. We’re told Victoria –who turns 50 on 17 April –is spending up to half amillion on her pre-birthday glow-up, much to husband David’s bewilderment.

“Victoria takes her beauty, skin and bodycare routines extremely seriously,” says an insider close to the mum of four, who’s been sporting amedical boot since breaking her foot while exercising in February.

“She feels the need to be outwardly perfect, so no one can criticise her.”

As well as her intensive fitness regime –which has been adapted while her foot recovers, but usually includes running, spinning and weight training –

Vic has also upped her skincare routine. She’s long been afan of high-priced products –such as Augustinus Bader The Cream, which costs in the region of £230 for 50ml, and Sarah Chapman’s facial mist (a bargain at £46) –but our source tells us her treatments have recently become alittle more hardcore.

As well as reportedly being acard-carrying member of the Botox brigade –although she has never publicly confirmed it –the star also undergoes Morpheus8 treatment twice ayear, which –for around £750 asession – involves 24 needles being injected into the face.
