She is unapologetically embracing her body

Stacey Solomon is already adored by millions, but if anything were to take her popularity up a notch, it would be the recent empowering video she posted to Instagram.

The mum of five has made no secret of her lifestyle overhaul, which began last year when she decided that firstly, husband Joe Swash’s gym equipment had gathered too much dust, and, secondly, she wanted to feel healthier. In recent weeks, she has been proudly showing off the results of her workouts, and has been raking in the compliments from fans, not to mention Joe. And after the social media star kept it real by pulling down her pink gym leggings to show followers what her tummy looked like without their support, insiders have toldheat that she is determined to show fans that she is happy and confident as she is – and has ditched any thoughts of a summer body blitz.

We’re told, “Stacey’s friends thought she was really brave, showing her body on Instagram. But she’d rather be honest with fans about the fact that she isn’t ‘perfect’, and that she feels the same pressure to slim down for summer as everyone else. She’s pushed herself really hard at the home gym over the past year, and she’s told people she’s sick of worrying about her appearance. She won’t be doing any fad diets or making any special effort to get a bikini body this year. She’s going into the summer with a different attitude – she’s choosing happiness over perfection, and she’s hoping that sends a positive message across to fans at the same time.”

Stacey – who is mum to Zach, 16, and Leighton, 11, from previous relationships, and Rex, four, Rose, two, and 14-month-old Belle with Joe, as well as being stepmum to Joe’s son, Harry, 16 – was praised for promoting self-love in her post last week, which she revealed she shared for “anyone who needed to see it today or ever”.

Showing her body off from different angles, Stacey wrote in the caption, “Just because I think it’s important to see – you can have abs (some days) and also have hip cushions and a womb! You’re perfect. And I’m sure the bodies you may aspire to look different, depending on the day/clothes/hormones/angles.”
