It was with admiration and a little awe that I watched our cover star Alice Eve choreograph the HFM photoshoot, creating a character that conjured a Hitchcockian heroine crossed with a 1950s housewife. Even she was impressed, at one point exclaiming: "That looks like a scene from The Birds," after seeing shots of herself on the photographer’s monitor. With three big Hollywood films set for release in 2016, Alice is one of our most exciting – and engaging – young actresses. She admits to loving the business of film and, refreshingly, is unafraid to voice her opinion on everything from sexism to cosmetic surgery. Talking of Hollywood, we catch up with stylist to the stars Brad Goreski as he prepares for his busiest time of year – awards season. We can’t wait to see which A-lister actresses he’ll be dressing for the 2016 Oscars. Plus, the HFM team have been getting fit for our new year fitness feature. And, I have to admit I’m something of a convert. It’s true what they say – your mind feels clearer and your energy levels increase the more (properly executed) exercise you do. Not to mention toning and fitness. We tried out a variety of different regimes, which we hope will spur you on. Now I just need to keep it up!
