A fter the glitz and glamour of the Oscars, the fun continued later as Hollywood’s biggest names let their hair down and celebrated at various star-studded afterparties.

Once again, the Vanity Fair bash was the place to be, and A-listers waited patiently in line outside the Wallis Annenberg Center for Performing Arts in Beverly Hills to make their entrance on the sapphire carpet.

Inside a specially erected marquee that was opulently decked out with crushed-velvet walls, supermodels rubbed shoulders with film-makers while celebrities congratulated one another on the evening’s achievements.

GLAMOUR WITH A TWIST

The party’s theme was Old Hollywood glamour with a modern twist and Tinseltown’s finest didn’t disappoint.

Naomi Campbell rocked the glamorous mermaid look in a metallic cream sequinned couture Schiaparelli dress, complete with a bodice shaped like seashells and stilettos with sculpted toes, while Kate Hudson turned heads in a vibrant fuchsia fishtail gown by Tamara Ralph Couture with a plunging neckline and ruffled sleeves, accessorised with Rahaminov diamonds.

British actress Jodie Turner-Smith, who was at the party with her husband, former Dawson’s Creek star Joshua Jackson, also went for a bold look – a custom sheer embellished gown by Gucci. Model Gigi Hadid, who was later seen partying with her friend Kendall Jenner, looked every inch the Hollywood starlet in a figure-hugging, off-the-shoulder red gown by Zac Posen.

There was no shortage of original 1990s supermodels: among those enjoying the fun were Eva Herzigova and Helena Christensen, who both opted for sustainable gowns by Atelier Hekayat, run by a group of female Saudi Arabian designers in collaboration with London-based Emilia Wickstead.

And representing the new generation was Cindy Crawford’s 21-year-old daughter Kaia Gerber, who chose a sparkling silver Celine by Hedi Slimane gown for a date night with her beau, Elvis star Austin Butler, who teamed his black Saint Laurent suit with a luxurious silk blouse.

Also among the revellers was Australian model Miranda Kerr, who accessorised her aquamarine Elie Saab couture gown with Chopard chandelier diamond earrings, and British star Kate Beckinsale, in a Tony Ward Couture black sequinned gown and voluminous silver cape.
