F lanked by his two leading ladies, Michael Douglas cuts a dashing figure on the red carpet at the Cannes film festival. The veteran of screen and stage was accompanied by his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones and their 20-year-old daughter Carys, who was making her debut at the French movie extravaganza. In a pink Elie Saab gown, the aspiring musician posed with her parents at the opening night gala as she and her equally glamorous mum Catherine – also in a dramatic gown by Elie Saab – planted a kiss on Michael’s cheek before the Fatal Attraction star, 77, received a special award honouring his lifetime in film.

“Thank you Cannes!” he later wrote on Instagram. “I am so honoured to receive the honorary Palme d’Or for my career achievements. Catherine, Carys and I had a wonderful time celebrating last night.”

Supermodel Naomi Campbell was another star lauded for her effortless style at the event, with the 52-year-old wearing a sequinned plunging Celine by Hedi Slimane gown.

There were more showstopping looks at the premiere of Japanese movie Monster, Viola Davis looking stunning in a white one-shouldered gown and matching feathered coat by Valentino, the dazzling ensemble specially designed for the Oscar-winning actress by creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli.

At the premiere of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, the fifth and final part of the popular big-screen adventure franchise, the fil
