PUTS ON A FULL-THROT TLE PERFORMANCE FOR THE STAR-STUDDED GR AND PRIX
Making the most of a pit stop during her much-celebrated Las Vegas residency, Kylie Minogue teamed up with a host of equally famous figures to celebrate the Formula 1 Grand Prix revving into Sin City for the first time in more than 40 years.
The 55-year-old Spinning Around star joined celebrities including John Legend, Keith Urban, and Will.i.am to take pole position at the glitzy opening ceremony the evening before the three days of high octane racing.
Wearing a white Stella McCartney F1-style jumpsuit, Kylie thrilled fans with a performance of her summer hit Padam Padam at the Las Vegas Strip circuit, not far from the Venetian Resort, at which she has been winning praise for her More Than Just a Residency show at stylish new venue Voltaire.
Embracing the atmosphere of the grand prix, which cost almost $500m (£400m) to stage but was predicted to raise more than $1bn for Las Vegas, Kylie also posed on the track beside world champion Max Verstappen’s car, dressed in a bright-blue version of the white boiler suit she’d worn previously. She was joined by American footballer turned actor and TV host Terry Crews.
POLE POSITION
Kylie wasn’t the only one lapping up the atmosphere. It was green for go for model and actress Cara Delevingne, casually chic in an emerald bomber jacket and trousers from Serena Bute, while Rihanna was on theme in an oversized Balenciaga leather racing jacket.
