It is well known that Strictly Come Dancing has long kept the Queen spellbound. While she was the Duchess of Cornwall, Her Majesty visited the set on several occasions and also enjoyed a behind-the-scenes ballroom session with judge Craig Revel Horwood.

Now it seems the BBC’s hit show has cha-chacharmed a new generation of royals after it emerged the Princess of Wales hotfooted it to the studios with her children Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, to enjoy a private tour ahead of Musicals Week.

Moreover, the lucky siblings even got the chance to follow in Craig’s nifty footsteps and sit in the judges’ chairs – lifting those all-powerful scoring paddles on a special performance by professional dancers Katya Jones and Neil Jones.

In a two-hour visit, the royal youngsters enjoyed a peek inside the wardrobe department, where Louis was invited to try on a little gold crown, before standing on the balcony where the contestants and their partners gather to watch the action on the dancefloor.

A FAMILY OF FANS

“Kate and Charlotte are huge fans of Strictly so they were delighted to be invited,” a source told The Sun. . “Kate took pictures of the children in the judges’ seats. She seemed really relaxed and was all smiles. She was polite, sweet and charming with everyone and made sure Louis didn’t get over-excited.
