They say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, and that certainly seems to be the case for Zara and Mike Tindall’s younger daughter Lena.

The King’s five-year-old greatniece stole the show at the Rugby for Heroes charity fun run in Gloucestershire, taking part with her rugby union ace father. He attended as patron of the charity, which helps military veterans.

Tackling a challenging 5km (three-mile) course, Lena was in her element, braving the cold with a beaming smile.

She’d donned patterned leggings, a purple puffer jacket, a red charity T-shirt and cute cat-face gloves for the event, which took place near the family’s home on the Gatcombe Park estate.

Mike, 45, also went for sportswear in a padded black jacket, grey joggers and a matching charity T-shirt.

Father and daughter had a blast, with Mike jogging beside Lena as they navigated the course, holding her hand and spurring her on when the going proved a challenge.

Following their success, the pair were all smiles as they celebrated with their gleaming medals.
