If anything makes Joe Wicks happy, it’s spending time with his wife Rosie and their three children.

And while The Body Coach’s life is often a whirlwind as he educates the nation about health and fitness, his loved ones bring him back down to earth.

“Nothing brings me more joy than being with my family,” Joe tells hello!.. “At the weekends I love to turn my phone off and go camping, or just spend time at home playing games with the kids. Just being outdoors in nature will always bring me a lot of joy, because I’m moving at 100 miles an hour and to disconnect is really powerful for me and calms me down.”

Joe’s family is going to become even bigger: he and Rosie, who are already parents to daughters Indie, five, and 18-month-old Leni, and son Marley, four, are looking forward to welcoming their fourth child in June. And they don’t plan to stop there.

THE MORE THE MERRIER

“We love being parents and we both always wanted to be teachers, so we feel that being around kids is kind of what we’re designed to do,” says Joe, 38, who worked as a primary school teaching assistant before finding fame as an author, fitness coach and social media sensation with 4.7m Instagram followers.

“We’ve always said we’d like five or six, so who knows; Rosie says she’s definitely not done. I mean, it’s chaos with three, it’s going to be mental with four, so it might not be too different with five. It’s madness every day.”

Joe, whose online PE With Joe sessions during lockdown made him a household name, has long been passionate about the link between physical fitness and mental wellbeing and he hopes his new book, Fitter, Healthier, Happier!: Your Guide to a Healthy Body and Mind, , will help get his message across to children.
