As one of the most recognisable actresses on TV, Courteney Cox could be forgiven for finding the prospect of ageing a little daunting. But the Friends star is taking her 60th birthday in her stride – full of gratitude and loving every minute.

“I’m fine with it,” she says. “I love my life and I love that I’m still working after all this time. I’m feeling very grateful.”

The star is best known for playing Monica in Friends,, the US sitcom that shot its six main cast members to global fame and celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. But, Courteney says, the passage of time hasn’t changed her “one bit”.

She says: “If anything, I’m probably more compassionate. I speak my mind, but people who know me can handle it. With me, you certainly get what you get.”

UNBREAKABLE BOND

Someone who agrees is her best friend and former co-star Jennifer Aniston. Since 1994, nothing has pleased Friends fans more than knowing that Monica Geller and Rachel Green are as close in real life as their characters were on the show.

Jennifer, 55, clearly adores her pal. “She’s funny like no other, STUNNING on the inside and out. Independent in the most gorgeous way, cares for everyone,” Jennifer wrote on Instagram.

“I can’t imagine a world without her. It’s one of my great honors to call her one of my best friends for life… Happy happy birthday CC. I love you!”

Although Friends came to an end 20 years ago, the show remains firmly in people’s hearts, as do the rest of the cast –
