POP PRINCESSES RULE WITH THRILLING PERFORMANCES AT WEMBLEY STADIUM
Music fans flocked to Wembley Stadium to see Raye, Meghan Trainor, Sabrina Carpenter and Perrie Edwards headline the Capital FM Summertime Ball. HELLO! was there to catch up with some of the stars before they took to the stage, including Meghan, who thrilled l with performances of her hits All About That Bass and Made You Look.
Fans were delighted when the singer kissed her husband, Spy Kids actor Daryl Sabara, on stage. The couple, who have sons Riley, three, and 11-month-old Barry, seem more loved-up than ever – and according to Meghan, 30, it’s down to how they communicate.
“Just talk at all times,” she told us backstage. “We do that new thing we saw online – what percentage you’re at, especially with parenting. So I’ll say: ‘I’m at ten, I need you to come in at 90.’ We communicate very well.”
FOOTBALL CRAZY
Also performing was former Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards, another star juggling a successful pop career with a busy home life.
Perrie, 30, who has two-year-old son Axel with her footballer fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, told us the day was extra busy because she was also getting ready to cheer on England at Uefa Euro 2024.
“You know the beginning of Home Alone,, where everyone’s whizzing around and they forget Kevin? That’s how I felt this morning. Everything’s chaos, but in the best way,” she said.
Speaking of her second single Tears,, the Forget About Us star said: “It’s a bit more Motown, a bit more groovy, soulful – just a lovely vibe. Hopefully everyone enjoys it.”
The line-up also included singer and actress Sabrina, who belted out her hit tunes Espresso and Please Please Please – and provided her own Euros moment, donning an England shirt for one number.
