Organising and styling duo Gemma Lilly and Charlotte Reddington (AKA Style Sisters) have decluttered countless celebs’ homes and wardrobes – so we got their top tips for a new year clear out

Describe a typical day in the life for both of you…Every day is so different for us, which is why we love our job so much! We could be helping a client organise one day, sourcing items for an interior design client on another, filming content or speaking at an event. Typically, a day starts with the school run! We both have kids so are always juggling work with motherhood. Then depending on what’s going on that week, we’ll either meet at our office to collect any storage we need for a client, or to work on an interiors project together. We also try to plan one day a week filming content for our social media channels.

We love your new bedding collection! Where do you find inspiration for your designs?

All of our homeware collections are inspired by our love of monochrome, minimalist and timeless interior styles, with a mix of pattern and texture. Our designs offer classic, striking and sophisticated styles to create a calm haven in your home. As we’ve been in so many homes over the years through organising and interiors, we’ve seen the items people love and the ones they find no use for.

We often struggled to source certain items for clients, which is where a lot of our inspiration for our own ranges comes from. We know exactly what’s needed but sometimes it’s not always easy to find.

For example, large storage baskets are often made in children’s patterns and colours: this is where the inspiration for our bouclé storage basket came from. We’d always be on the hunt for baskets that would hide away the children’s toys while still be in keeping with a room’s décor. Not everyone has the luxury of a playroom, so we wanted to create clever storage that didn’t compromise on a room’s aesthetic when storing kids’ toys.
