CONFLATED

10yo b g by Yeats Weight: 11st 12lb Trainer: Gordon Elliott Owner: Gigginstown House Stud Jockey: TBC Form: P-53UU3

Carries top weight, but deservedly so after a string of grand efforts in high-class races, notably when third in last year’s Cheltenham Gold Cup. Third also in Cheltenham’s recent Ryanair Chase. Has unseated jockeys twice this year, but one occasion came after a stumble. Each-way chance at big price.

NOBLE YEATS

9yo b g by Yeats Weight: 11st 11lb Trainer: Emmet Mullins Owner: Robert Waley-Cohen Jockey: Harry Cobden Form: 44-7217

Won this race two years ago when partnered by Sam Waley-Cohen and a fine fourth last year when carrying 15lb more. Been hurdling this season and won a decent race at Cheltenham in January. Appears good as ever, has never fallen, stays this marathon trip and champion jockey-elect Harry Cobden rides.

NASSALAM

7yo ch g by Dream Well Weight: 11st 7lb Trainer: Gary Moore Owners: John and Yvonne Stone Jockey: Niall Houlihan Form: 7-411P An easy winner of the Welsh National at Christmas, but his handicap mark went up sharply and he now faces a stiff task in this race. Has not fallen in 20 races, but was pulled up in last month’s Cheltenham Gold Cup. After 30 years of training, Gary Moore looks set to have a long-awaited first runner in the Randox Grand National.

COKO BEACH

9yo gr g by Cokoriko Weight: 11st 7lb Trainer: Gordon Elliott Owner: Gigginstown House Stud Jockey: TBC Form: P-3121

This gelding is bidding to become the fourth grey horse to win the Grand National, although he was pulled up last year with two to jump. In grand form this season, including when second to Chambard over these fences in November. Showed versatility when landing a banks race on his latest start at Punchestown in February.

CAPODANNO

8yo ch g by Manduro Weight: 11st 7lb Trainer: Willie Mullins Owner: J P McManus Jockey: Mark Walsh Form: P-6314

Afine fourth in last month’s Ryanair Chase at the Cheltenham Festival when a neck behind Conflated, who now concedes 5lb. Pulled up before the final fence in the 2023 Grand National, although he was only seven at the time and has been in good form this season. He may have stamina concerns, but cannot be ignored.
