Icon 191 visits the Milan Triennale and looks at how new materials are changing our world, from the futuristic composites that can replace plastic, to the living, breathing bricks that could soon make up our cities' walls. We interview Jordan Soderberg Mills, a designer working with light, who is set to star at the year's biggest design event, Salone del Mobile in Milan, and meet the rising Studio Ossidiana and Sigil Collective, whose work connects Milan's 'Broken Nature' exhibition and an orchard in northern Syria.
