AHEAD OF THE CURVE

What do the experts predict will be the colours to use in our homes for 2023? Well, it depends on who you ask! Leading paint brand Dulux announced its Colour of the Year as a warm, golden shade of barley called Wild Wonder, while the guys over at eco-kind Earthborn have pipped Lady Bug – arich, jewel-toned burgundy – as their hot shade for the year. Shown here is Benjamin Moore’s offering, Raspberry Blush, a vibrant shade of coral. But our advice? Choose any colour that makes your heart sing, and decorate with gusto to create YOUR ideal home.

BEST DECORATING DECISION? To not rush the process. Our house is a work in progress and every new element takes it to the next level.

YOUR SECRET STYLING IDEA? The cork wall in our office. I used recycled-cork tiles so that we had a space to curate inspiration.

FAVOURITE CORNER OF YOUR HOME? It changes. We’ve just hung beautiful, full-length velvet curtains in the living room. They have completely altered how the space feels.

AN ITEM THAT SPARKS JOY? The round orange cushion I designed in collaboration with Kalinko Home (above). It’s handwoven and is finished with deadstock trim. I love the fact there’s only a few in the world.

STYLE STATEMENT

Wallpaper borders may conjure thoughts of dodgy Eighties and Nineties décor, but they’ve had a revival and have returned to grace our homes thanks to interio
