NEED TO KNOW
Made from 60% recycled stone, Reform tiles from Ca’Pietra boast incredible eco credentials and, in rich shades with a tumbled finish and lightly rounded edges, look simply gorgeous too. The fact they are also made in a carbon-neutral factory means that updating a tired bathroom suddenly got a whole lot more planet-friendly. Available in three tile formats and in 12 beautiful shades, including Aqua, Emerald Green and Salmon Pink, they can be used on walls, floors and surfaces, inside and out.
What to do this month...
Take unwanted textiles, such as towels, bedding and curtains, to your local Dunelm and it will recycle, donate or reuse them. Simply bag clean items, place in the in-store collection area and scan the QR code to leave feedback. You can also recycle electrical items when you buy new from Dunelm.
If you’re trying to avoid using throw-away cutlery to dig into lunch on the go, try these full-size, smart stainless steel cutlery sets, plus straw, in a BPA-free travel box; £27 from Mnched.
Buy one (or a few) glass storage jars from Abel & Cole’s Club Zero refill shop and have staples such as pasta, cereal and dried fruit delivered in returnable pouches, to fill your jars.

STYLE STATEMENT
Noticing how much more waste she was generating while stuck at home during the pandemic, Ved Cooks founder Verity started experimenting with the skins and leftovers of various food items to see if they could be used to create natural fabric dyes. The answer was yes, and she now dyes 100% Irish linen napkins in small batches in her kitchen, using seasonal foods such as fruit skins, avocado stones, leftover berries and more. The results are unique and exquisite cloths, runners and napkins for your table.
