I’ve already seen a few reports of the odd one getting caught during the short mild spells we’ve had over the last month or so, but we’re now approaching the period when they become a realistic target to focus our attentions on again.

I’m currently in a bit of a quandary about which venue to head to for my tench fix. Last year I fished a water which had a real air of mystery about it and all the ingredients to produce a ‘proper’ specimen tinca.
