THE PRESSURE OF PAUL’S ILLNESS GETS TOO MUCH…
Billy is a man on the edge this week, as the pain from his back injury and the trauma of watching Paul deteriorate leads to him having a violent outburst!
The agitated archdeacon can’t cope with the constant stress, and trying to make Valentine’s Day special for Paul – followed by some surprising news from Summer – pushes him to the limit…
“Caring for Paul isn’t easy at the best of times, but since hurting his back Billy has really struggled,” begins our Corrie insider. “With Valentine’s Day coming up, Billy desperately wants to create more happy memories for Paul before his MND really takes hold, and prove how much he loves him. But he’s at risk of overdoing it and the whole thing backfiring!”
Deciding he should make a grand romantic gesture, Billy arranges a ride on a motorbike and sidecar for him and Paul. However, what the holy man hasn’t reckoned on is just how difficult climbing onto the vehicle would be with his back, and he spends the whole time in agony!
After dismounting, Billy sneakily necks a load of strong painkillers, hoping to numb his discomfort and focus on giving Paul a day to remember.
Summer also confides in her adopted dad she’s been offered the chance to study in the States, but doesn’t want to leave while Paul is ill. Upset the teen has to turn down this fantastic opportunity, Billy sees this as another reminder of how Paul’s condition i
