Hi, Navin! Is Nish pleased with how his romance with Kat has been going?
Nish is very pleased with the way this relationship is developing for him. It’s going according to plan, until later in the week when the goal posts shift. He’s very close to it being a triumph for him, and then right at the last minute things change for him, because suddenly he’s faced with another formidable opponent…
Has Nish always had deceitful intentions towards Kat?
Initially there was a genuine attraction of two people in similar situations; there was a common ground over which they genuinely bonded. But Nish being the manipulative opportunist that he is saw a wonderful prize at the end of it in the form of Phil’s money and businesses.
Nish introduces Kat to his dodgy divorce lawyer, Roger Peel. Is he taking a risk introducing a third party into his plan?
Yes and no. Historically, Roger and Nish have done very well together, so it’s always worked. Although neither of them have ever come up against someone like Kat before…
There’s a big showdown between Kat and Nish. What research did you do to prepare for those scenes?
My mum ran a charity for over 20 years for women of domestic abuse, she spent her life protecting people like Kat from people like Nish. So these are stories and human beings that I grew up with. We had a scene earlier in the week where Nish kicks Kat and her children out of her house – he thinks better of it, but this is what this man is capable of.
Is Nish worried that going up against Kat will put him on the wrong side of Phil?
