Daisy is mortified this week, when the private details of her affair with Ryan become headline news in gossip mag Chit Chat!
But there’s another big shock in store for her once former lover Ryan makes an unexpected return to Weatherfield! With the pair now the talk of the Rovers, will they decide to pick up where they left off?
“Ryan returning is a real shock to Daisy’s system,” confesses Charlotte Jordan, who plays her. “Daisy assumes Ryan is living his best life with Crystal. Losing Ryan to her left Daisy even more isolated, so I definitely think Ryan will be welcomed back into Daisy’s life with open arms…”
Up until Ryan’s surprise comeback, it’s fair to say that Daisy’s not having a brilliant week. As co-owner on the Rovers, she takes great delight in securing a deal so they can stock Newton & Ridley beer once again. But as Jenny panics that questions will be asked about their flourishing finances, Carla overhears them. Will the Underworld boss demand to know where their money came from, and realise they used Stephen’s stolen cash?
Later, when Daniel asks Daisy to babysit, she feels a spark between them again and confides in Glenda, hopeful he might be able to forget the past and take her back. But as Rita’s birthday party gets going in the Rovers, Mary accidentally airdrops her copy of Chit Chat magazine – and sends it to everyone in the pub, including Daisy!
As she reads the headline ‘I had a Torrid Affair with my Acid Attack Hero’ her face falls, and soon she discovers exactly who’s responsible for the embellished tell-all…
