Like mother like daughter, Corrie’s Sarah-Lou doesn’t half know how to pick ’em!Her extra-marital affair with dodgy Damon comes back to bite her this week, after her husband Adam’s desire for revenge backfires in hideous fashion (see p8).
Yet as actress Tina O’Brien points out, Sarah wouldn’t be half as much fun to play if she didn’t have such questionable taste in men! Here, the 40-year-old star joins us to pick over the bones of her alter ego’s greatest loves…
Hi, Tina! What are you making of the latest chapter in Sarah’s colourful love life?
She’s moving very fast with Damon, and if I was her friend, I’d be having words with her! Sarah’s impulsive, she thinks the feelings are love but maybe it’s that she’s swept up in the romance and lust. I’m concerned for her!
She loves a bad boy, doesn’t she?
She does, but I totally understand why she likes Damon. I think they get each other, so it’s very easy for her to think this is forever. Also, Damon’s not messing her around, he’s making it clear that he’s all for her.
But is there still unfinished business between Sarah and Adam?
I think if Adam had said they could give it another go, she would’ve made the marriage work, but the fact he made it so clear they were over made Sarah step away. I think she still has feelings for him, and is maybe lying to herself.
Do you enjoy seeing Sarah really going for what she wants?
I do, it’s a lot of fun but at times I just want to shake her. She’s almost having a bit of a mid-life crisis and making crazy choices!
What sort of reaction are you getting from the public?
It’s a really mixed bag; a lot of people think Sarah and Adam shouldn’t get back together because of what she did, then there’s a group who want them to get back together and others urging her stick with Damon. Then there are those who are saying she
