Smitten Vanessa sings her way back into Suzy’s heart this week, dashing Mary’s hopes of happiness with the glamorous wedding planner in the process!
After her doomed liaison with con artist Faye, unluckyin-love Mary thought she’d found a connection with Suzy. The ladies were enjoying getting to know one another – but then Suzy’s former fling Vanessa arrived back in the village, wanting to pick up where they left off…
“They say absence makes the heart grow fonder, and that’s definitely been the case for Vanessa with Suzy,” shares our Dales insider. “When she hears Gail is holding a karaoke night at the Woolpack, she sees it as the perfect opportunity to try to rekindle their romance. And guess what? It works.”
The ladies shared a little smooch before Vanessa departed for Canada, and Vanessa is now hoping they can address that unfinished business and make a proper go of it. But she still has no idea there’s a rival for Suzy’s affections in the shape of her best friend’s mum!
“It genuinely wouldn’t even cross Vanessa’s mind that Mary is harbouring romantic feelings for Suzy,” reveals our snoop. “Mary has been like a mum to her over the years – and even the thought of them trying to compete for the same woman is crazy.”
