Maria explodes with fury this week – and tears into wicked Mason in the middle of the café!
As the extent of her son’s bullying comes to light, the heartbroken mum wants justice. But, once the police learn that Mason threatened Liam with a knife, will they investigate the schoolboy’s cruel campaign?
“After everything her son has told her, Maria erupts at Mason,” reveals our Corrie insider. “Having kept watch, afraid Liam would kill himself, Maria knows this bully has ruined her son’s life, but they need evidence – or he’s going to get away with it…”
As the week begins, Maria and Gary try to do something nice with Liam and treat him to a milkshake in the café. But their peace is soon interrupted by Mason’s arrival. Seeing his brazen attitude up close, furious Maria launches herself at the teenager and hits him! Gary is forced to intervene before things escalate further, though Maria is determined to be rid of Mason…
In another meeting at the school, Liam’s head teacher Mrs Crawshaw attempts to reassure Maria by revealing that they’re building a case to get Mason expelled, but they need more evidence. Later, Liam confides in Jake that Mason’s bullying another boy, too – yet despite his stepbrother’s insistence, Liam refuses to report it.
Overwhelmed from keeping secrets, Liam admits to Gary and Maria that Mason did more than bully him – he threatened him with a knife. Following Liam’s shocking revelation, they take the terrified lad to the police station – and on the hunt for the zombie knife used on Liam, Craig soon calls into No 11…
Nervous Dylan maintains his innocence, but before long, Mason orders him to get the knife from its hiding place in the back yard and meet him in the ginnel. Scared to betray Mason, Dylan does exactly what he’s told. However, it isn’t his mate waiting for him in the ginnel – it’s the police!
“Craig finds the knife in Dylan’s possession and arrests him!” gasps our sneak. “In that moment, Dylan is horrified to realise this was Mason’s plan all along.
