Emotions run high between Chas and Paddy this week, as the former couple lean in and share an accidental kiss!
Vulnerable Chas awaits her operation, but Paddy’s gesture of support soon leads the ex-husband and wife down a familiar path and a tender moment turns into a terrible mistake.
When Paddy pulls away and rushes straight to tell his current girlfriend Mandy, how will she react?
“As a comfort, Paddy just pecks Chas on the lips,” explains Dominic Brunt, who plays the confused ex-husband. “He just gets wrapped up and feels awful for her. But when he kisses her, he realises he’s gone too far.”
As the week begins, Chas’ family worry she’s burying her head in the sand over the severity of her mastectomy operation when she only books two weeks off work. Tearful Paddy lends an ear to his former wife in the Woolpack backroom, as she opens up about her fears.
“Chas says what she’s going through and how frightened she is,” shares the star. “She thinks she could be looking at the end of her life. Paddy wants to help her.”
After the long and fraught conversation, Paddy and Chas forget themselves and give in to a kiss. However, Paddy quickly realises the error he’s made and pulls away, hurting Chas with his tactless reaction. Before word of the kiss can get back to Mandy, Paddy sets out to tell her the truth.
“He doesn’t want the kiss to be misconstrued by Mandy,” shares Dominic. “Paddy’s trying to be as honest as possible
