Evelyn discovers some distressing information about her daughter Cassie this week – when Tyrone reveals that his mum once had to resort to sex work!
Although Evelyn is well aware that her daughter has a chequered past involving drugs and criminal activities, the fact that she had to sell herself in order to make ends meet leaves the pensioner uncharacteristically lost for words. However, as she later confronts Cassie about her actions, will Evelyn be sympathetic to her daughter’s past misfortunes?
“When it comes to Cassie, Evelyn didn’t think she could be shocked any more,” reveals our Coronation Street insider. “She knows exactly what her daughter is capable of, yet this new piece of information does leave her feeing sad.

The revelation comes about as the residents of the Street continue to gossip about Lauren’s disappearance.
