CLAUDETTE’S BIGOTED VIEWS RUIN THEIR BIG DAY…
Matty and Amy have cold water poured all over their dream wedding plans this week, when stuck-up Claudette makes a prejudiced comment against the groom!
When Claudette learns Matty is trans, she takes objection to he and Amy selecting the Village Hall as their venue, wrongly believing it is against the Church. Will her comments derail the lovebirds’ plans and hurt Matty’s feelings?
“Claudette’s bigotry stuns Matty and Amy!” declares our Emmerdale spy. “Their love bubble has been well and truly burst. This has hurtled Matty’s struggle with his identity back to the surface again after finally finding happiness.”
It’s been almost a year since the pair got engaged, and after months of delaying their wedding plans, Amy and Matty excitedly make a major decision and select the village hall for their venue. However, their joy is short lived when Claudette discovers Matty is transgender, and reacts badly.
Wrongly believing Matty being trans forbids he and Amy from marrying in the village hall, because it’s church property, Claudette takes an opposing stance and hurts the couple’s feelings.
