Jean uncovers Dean’s twisted medicinetampering plot this week – but rather than admitting the truth, Dean frames Jean for his crime!
The sick dad has been tinkering with his daughter Jade’s antibiotics for weeks in a bid to make her too sick to travel to Pakistan. And after coming this far with his evil scheme, Dean’s not about to let Jean ruin it…
“What Dean has been doing to Jade is truly despicable – yet in his mind, it’s simply a means to an end,” reveals our Walford insider. “He wants to keep his daughter close and will do whatever it takes to stop her leaving the Square, even if he is putting her in terrible danger in the process. Dean’s logic is so warped that he can’t even see that what he’s doing could end up killing Jade!”
Dean’s actions have already landed his daughter in hospital following her collapse, yet still he continues to tamper with her medication. This week, Jade returns home from hospital, raising an eyebrow from Jean who thinks it far too soon for her to be away from medical supervision.
Meanwhile, Dean is delighted to receive a request for an interview with the Walford Gazette, and leaves his daughter in Jean’s care while he goes to meet the reporter. Their interview is interrupted by Johnny, who offers to give his uncle an honest character reference – leaving Dean utterly furious that he’s ruined his moment in the spotlight.
