Lonely Steve heads to a cocktail night this week, hoping to find a date –– but much to his shame, it’s Ken who ends up getting lucky!
Having had zero interest on his dating profile, desperate Steve turns up at the Chariot Square Hotel looking for love. But the moping bachelor soon finds himself playing the third wheel, after Ken turns the head of a flirty suitor…
“Elspeth sends over two drinks to Ken and Steve!” chuckles Helen Lederer, who plays Ken’s glamorous admirer. “She wants to get Ken’s attention. Elspeth is quite a forward person and doesn’t fear being rejected! And she’s not disappointed as Ken is open to getting to know her.”
After moaning to David that he’s had no luck with the dating profile he set up, Steve’s ears perk up when Debbie suggests he try the cocktail night at her hotel.
However, Steve’s enthusiasm soon drains away once he returns home and finds his former father-in-law dressed up ready to join him! Mortified Steve pretends to be glad of the company and the two head to Chariot Square.
Before long, it’s Ken who pulls, charmed by confident Elspeth. Meanwhile, Poor unwanted Steve hangs around like a spare part as his father-in-law gets Elspeth’s numb
